Covenant Children's Home is a private non-profit Florida Corporation with IRS 501(c)(3) status making contributions tax deductible. CCH is registered with the Florida Division of Agriculture and Consumer Services, meeting the Florida Solicitation Act as a charitable organization.

 

 

 

Richard L. Errett, Executive Director (06)

Dick joined the Covenant Children's Home in September 2006 as Co-Director of Development with his wife Karen. In March of 2008 he was named Executive Director. Dick is a graduate of West Virginia University and did his post graduate studies at California University of Pennsylvania. He comes from a background of education, administration and business ownership, and has been actively involved in church leadership and ministry for over forty years.

 

Karen S. Errett, Director of Development (06)

Karen attended Defiance College in Ohio where she studied business. She owned her own clothing store in Ohio and was co-owner of businesses in Hilton Head, South Carolina and Central Florida. She was also an executive secretary and office manager for a large school district in Pennsylvania. She has been active in church ministry, especially in the area of helping families with children. "We feel that the culmination of all our life experiences have helped prepare us for this position", say the Errettts.  "What could be more important than building a children's home?"

Randall Wooten, Chairman (08)

Randall is a fourth generation Floridian with over 20 years experience in the citrus and agricultural industry. For the past 15 years owner and managing principal of Advantage Financial Management, a wealth management firm engaged in long-term investment and portfolio management. Past President of the Dunnellon High School Boosters Club and Dunnellon Chapter of the Future Farmers of America, actively fundraising to support kids in their athletic efforts and Chapter projects. Currently serving as an elder of Springs Presbyterian Church. Married to Carolyn for 34 years and they have a son and a daughter. Randall is an avid saltwater fisherman and boating enthusiast.

 


 

Joe Gautier, Vice Chairman (06)

Retired business owner and banker. President and co-owner of Gator Source and Supply Co. Inc. Past President and Director of Sun Bank in Miami Midtown. Served as founder and director of Florida Christian School in Miami, founder and elder at Grove Community Church and Southwest Community Church, an elder at Kendall Presbyterian Church in Miami and Director of Miami Midtown Kiwanis. Joe and his wife, Miriam, now reside in Rainbow Springs and have two children and three grandchildren.

 


 

Edie Hulbert, Secretary (07)

A resident of Rainbow Springs for 19 years and a member of the Rainbow Springs Church since 2004. Past President of the Dunnellon Women’s Club and for the last 10 years has served as Vice President. Chairman of the Board for the Food for Kids Program. Also past President of Beta Signa Phi. Edie has 3 children and 8 grandchildren.

 


 

Georgeann S. Miller, Treasurer (08)

Georgeann has been a Florida resident since 2003, with experience in sales, bookkeeping and office management. Currently employed by Integrity Financial Services Group as a bookkeeper. Georgeann is a member of Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto and has participated in their Harvest Saturday ministry. She is the mother of two adult children.

 


 

Avis M. Craig (03)

A certified planner employed as the Director of Development for the Villages of Citrus Hills since 1997. Over 25 years of experience in planning and development, with a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Is responsible for permitting, engineering and construction of over $30 million dollars of land development and landscape projects over the last 10 years. Member of Springs Presbyterian Church and a grandmother of 3.

 


 

Paul Perregaux (04)

Retired bank president with 40 years in the industry in NH and CT., and 5 years US Army Captain. Paul is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Inverness where he is an elder and member of session. Member of the Crystal River Rotary, past Asst. Dist. Gov. Dist. 6950; member of Board for Daniel Webster Council BSA, NH and Gulf Ridge Council in Florida and VP of Administration. BA from UCONN, MA Econ UCONN, MA Estonia School of Banking, Rutgers Univ., Advanced Mgmt. Degree from Harvard Business School. Paul lives in Citrus Hills. He is married with 4 children and 11 grandchildren.

 


 

Tony Wahl (06)

Tony has been in the financial planning and investment business for the past 12 years and now owns and operates Integrity Financial Services Group, Inc. in Inverness. His company consists of four vital sections including Integrity Insurance Advisors, Integrity Tax & Bookkeeping Service, Citrus County Christian Business Directory and Financial Services with securities offered through G.A. Repple & Company. Tony is a member of Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church, married to Julie and has two sons, Cassidy and Keaton.

 


 

Kenneth Grimes (08)

Ken is a native Floridian from Miami where he worked forty-seven years for Kelly Tractor Co. He retired in 1997 as V.P. of Service. During this time he was General Manager and then President of Pantropic Power Products for fifteen of those years. He also served as President of the Miami Beach Rod and Reel Club. He and his wife Rowena (Ronnie) of fifty-five years moved to Citrus County twelve years ago. They have three adopted children which now are grown and have their own families. They have six grand children and one great grand daughter. Ken is a member of the First Baptist Church in Beverly Hills. He looks forward to making a difference for children at Covenant Children’s Home.

 

 

 

ADVISORS TO THE BOARD

 

Ken Habedank

An elder of Springs Presbyterian Church, who is a retired Major General, Air Force after 34 years. Served in the Middle East and as a civilian staff to NATO for 3 years. Served on the Covenant Children's Home Board two years, 2004-05. Ken graduated from the Air Force Academy with a B.S. degree in Engineering and also has a master in Guidance and Counseling. Volunteers as a Bible study leader, as an Associate Staff member of the Navigators serving currently at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Univ. in Dayton, FL. Ken is married with adult children.

 


 

Martin Hoffman

Marty was ordained to the gospel ministry in January of 1988. He is the pastor of Providence Baptist Church in Lecanto since 1997. Marty and his wife, Joan, have three children and two grandchildren. They are involved in the foster care system. They adopted a son in 2008 from foster care and currently have another foster child. 

 


 

Paul Smith

Over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Paul is a second generation owner of Ocala Insurance, Inc. Paul and his wife, Vicki, live in Marion County with their three children. They are a home-schooling family of thirteen years, and enjoy hosting foreign exchange students in the summer.


 

Bryan Sykes

A national management consultant with a special interest in children's ministries. Has served as a Guardian ad Litem volunteer and emergency foster parent.

 


 

Dr. R. Keeth Staton

Pastor of Springs Presbyterian Church since its inception in 1992.

 


 

Dr. Ken Wackes

Associate Minister at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church from 1973-2004; Headmaster, Westminster Academy in Ft. Lauderdale, 1973-2004; Executive Director of Christian Schools of Florida from 2004 to present; President, Florida Association of Academic Nonpublic Schools, 2004-present; Teacher at Seven Rivers Christian School. Ken is married to his wife, Ruth, and they have three children and ten grandchildren.
